QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR CANDLES

How do I get the most life out of my candle?

Our optimal burn time for our candles is 3-4 hours at a time. On the first burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar. This helps eliminate tunneling and for the candle to burn evenly. Trim the wick to 1/4″ in between lighting and burn your candle out of drafty locations where it will cause uneven burning.

What are your candles made of?

We use 100% soy wax in our candles, a blend of essential oils and high quality fragrance oils, and a cotton wick.

Why soy wax?

Soy burns more cleanly than paraffin or palm wax. Also, soy is highly produced within the U.S. to replenish soil nutrient levels and thus more widely available than say beeswax.

Are your candles organic?

Unfortunately no. 90% of soy in the U.S. is genetically altered and not considered organic. Nearly all of the organic soy on the market is distributed to the food industry.

Do you use essential oils?

Yes we do, but our candles are also blended with high quality fragrance oils. We’ve found that EOs tend to flash off quickly and change the aroma as the candle is burned. Fragrance oils, however, release an excellent scent that is retained as the candle is burned.

How fragrant are glint candles?

Our candles fill a medium size room nicely. We’ve found that larger rooms and high ceiling spaces may require two candles.

I love strong candles - are glint candles for me?

Honestly – no. Our candles offer a great aroma, but our candles will not overpower a room. If you’re looking for a strong candle we suggest looking for a paraffin candle over soy.

Is there sales tax?

The state requires us to collect sales tax on all Nevada orders.

What is on the outside of the candle?

We print our art on this trips of tissue paper and wrap them around the candle using a hard glue mix. It’s a labor of love 🙂

Do you offer custom printed candles?

At this time we do not offer custom candles.

CANDLE ORDER QUESTIONS

I want to send my candle as a gift - can I include a message?

Absolutely! Just let us know in the comments when you order and we’ll be sure to omit the receipt. If you’d like us to enclose a note, you can also leave that in the comments and we’ll be sure it’s included.

When will my order ship?

Your candle will ship from our shop in 1-3 business days from the date ordered.

How can I track my order?

We will email tracking information as soon as your candle ships. If for some reason you didn’t receive your tracking, email us at support@glintcandles.com and we’ll send it over.

Do you ship internationally?

At this time we only ship within the U.S. and Canada. But if you’ve got something special in mind, send us an email to support@glintcandles.com and we’ll see if there’s something we can do.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Yes, we always want you to be happy with your order. We just ask that the candle be returned in new condition and that the shipping is paid by the customer. Please email us at support@glintcandles.com to arrange a return or exchange.
